Starting Reception in September 2024
Welcome to our new Reception children and their families.
We are really looking forward to welcoming you to Swaffield Reception.
You should have received all the paperwork and information about joining Swaffield School - please return all completed forms to the School Office as soon as possible. The office is open on Monday 2nd September 2024 and Tuesday 3rd September (both INSET days) and the school is open for the start of term on Wednesday 4th September 2024.

Swaffield Out of School Care is run by the school and staffed with members of the Swaffield staff team.

Children joining Reception have staggered start dates so that we can help everyone settle in - you will be given a start day on our correspondence with you.

Our Autumn Term 2024 starts for pupils in Years 1 to 6 on Wednesday 4th September 2024.

Swaffield Welcome BBQ - Friday 20th September after school
Join us as we celebrate the start of the new academic year. The annual Welcome BBQ is a fantastic way to meet other families, teachers and staff. There will be delicious food and refreshments - it's a real family occasion and we hope you can join us.Dates for your Diary
- Drop in coffee mornings
Wednesday 4th September to Friday 6th September - 9am to 9.30am:
Parents of children starting Swaffield are invited to come along for a coffee/tea in the library on any of these mornings after dropping off your child.
The library is situated next to the Reception classroom (up the ramp) - just ask one of the Reception team to show you where to go. It's a great way to meet other parents, ask questions, and get to know Swaffield. - Early Years Welcome Meeting
Wednesday 18th September 2024: 3.45pm in the Bottom Hall.
All Nursery and Reception parents are invited to meet the teachers and phase leader. - Welcome BBQ
Friday 20th September 2024: 3.30pm to 5.30pm
Please add the date to your diary for our start of year school community BBQ - a great way to get to know other families.
All Swaffield families are invited. It's free to come along and Swaffield PTA will be selling delicious food and drinks for children and their adults.
