SWAFFIELD: ENGLAND DOES DAILY MILE

The Daily Mile has been part of daily life at Swaffield since 2018 and is a great way of getting the children to become more active and healthier. The Daily Mile takes place in the Back Playground: 17 laps of the netball court is equivalent to a mile.

On Friday 30th April, we took part in “England Does The Daily Mile” at the same time as thousands of children across the country. We were especially excited that Year 3 and Year 5 children were filmed completing their Daily Mile sessions and we appeared on the ITV London News!

The Daily Mile is an initiative run throughout Primary Schools in the UK that encourage children to move more.

It is a social, physical activity that involves children running or jogging – at their own pace.
