Black History Month
Chelsea Foundation Poetry Competition

We were delighted to welcome Tyrone from Chelsea Foundation to celebrate Black History Month at Swaffield. 

Tyrone held an assembly which focused on great role models from all walks of life including sport. He also shared information about Chelsea's Building Bridges campaign. 

The children were also excited to hear about Chelsea Foundation's Black History Month Poetry Competition:

To enter, children need to create a poem/rap/song, which they are happy to perform, no longer, than five verses but it must include some the following words:
Building Bridges, Chelsea, equality, diversity, respect and celebration.

Entries should be returned to the School Office on the entry form by Thursday 21st October so that we can send them to Chelsea Foundation.
