swaffield to join National Singalong of "We'll Meet Again"

Swaffield School is joining people around
the UK on Friday 8th May for a national
singalong of "We'll Meet Again" with Dame
  Vera Lynn.

The singalong is part of national
celebrations to mark the 75th Anniversary
of VE Day and is due to take place on Friday 8th May just after 9pm following the Queen’s special address to the nation, which will be shown on BBC One.

We've sent copies of the words to Swaffield families together with chords for those who may wish to play along.

We look forward to singing with our neighbours and community!

    We’ll Meet Again

We'll meet again,
Don't know where,
Don't know when
But I know we'll meet again some sunny day

Keep smiling through,
Just like you always do
'Til the blue skies drive the dark clouds far away

So will you please say "Hello"
To the folks that I know?
Tell them I won't be long
They'll be happy to know
That as you saw me go
I was singing this song

We'll meet again,
Don't know where,
Don't know when
But I know we'll meet again some sunny day

We'll meet again,
Don't know where
Don't know when.
But I know we'll meet again some sunny day.
Keep smiling through
Just like you always do,
'Til the blue skies drive the dark clouds far away

So will you please say "Hello"
To the folks that I know?
Tell them I won't be long.
They'll be happy to know
That as you saw me go,
I was singin' this song.

We'll meet again,
Don't know where,
Don't know when
But I know we'll meet again some sunny day.

Originally released in 1939, “We’ll Meet Again” was composed
by Ross Parker and Hughie Charles, and sung by Dame Vera Lynn.

Sadly, for this national celebration we can't dress up and process around the block, invite special 'senior' visitors from Friendship Group, or hold a cake competition like we did in 2015 but here are a few photos from then:
